Book Discussion Today!

December's lunch book discussion will feature the books of your choice. Come to the LMC classroom today during lunch and share your best-bets!
*Bring your own lunch. Some snacks will be provided.
Hope to see you there!
Our January selection is Dear John by Nicholas Sparks. Listen for the announcements after break for a specific date.
Read the book over break, come to the discussion in January, then go see the new movie...sounds like a plan to me!

Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson

What's a book trailer? It's a new way to promote a book-- very similar to how a movie trailer promotes a movie. There are a few programs you can use to create your own book trailer--we used Windows Movie Maker this tri, but may try www.animoto.com next time. Check out the trailer below, created by Ms. Gietzel, for Laurie Halse Anderson's newest book called Wintergirls. You can also click on the book cover above to read a brief summary.

Welcome!

Welcome to Talking Books @ BHS! Ever wished you could see what some of your classmates are reading? Want to know what they are recommending? Like to make recommendations of your own? Find a new web tool you'd like to share? Then you've come to the right place! In the next couple of days, we'll be uploading some of the book trailers Mrs. Becker's class has been working hard on (despite a couple of technical glitches!) the past couple of weeks. Stay tuned for even more to come...
